When Adam and Kate go to live with their grandfather on the north coast of Cornwall, they have to learn a new way of life. Adam finds this very hard. Grandfather Micah is scary and does not make them welcome. A terrible accident makes things even worse as Adam can no longer work in the tin mine. Then into their lives comes a man called John Wesley and things begin to change...
