Chew Slowly, Dwell Richly was inspired by Paul’s words as he encouraged the Colossians to, ‘Let the word of Christ
dwell in you richly’ (Col. 3:16). This book seeks to help the believer do
this by using daily readings that enable meditation on Scripture in an
unhurried way; to chew slowly.
We start with five weeks of daily readings from the Pentateuch – the
first five books of the Bible – and then five weeks from the writings of John in the New Testament.
These readings are also an aid to memorization, helping God’s Word to become more and more a part of us.
Each week ends with a poem specially written by Libby to enable further reflection and worship.
The Word, dwelling richly in us, should increase our love for our Lord, affect our personal development in Christlikeness, help us to keep on
trusting when troubles come, enhance our relationships with one another, and so show Christ more clearly to the unbeliever.

Fresh and original, accessible and biblical, warm and personal. Julia
Jones has produced a remarkable book with ten weeks of daily
devotions, incorporating Bible memorisation, systematic theology, daily Scripture portions and Christ-exalting application.
Libby’s poetry beautifully complements Julia’s text, stimulating the reader to deeper reflection. This would be an ideal tool in helping disciple a new Christian but will delight any believer in timeless gospel truths. We highly commend this wonderful resource.
