OUT OF THE LION'S DEN
OUT OF THE LION'S DEN
Thirty-five years have passed since The Babylon Trilogy, Book Two: Fear of the gods. Yakov and
Zeke are now old men and they have grown-up children and grandchildren who were born in
Babylon.
In Book Three, we follow the adventures of Nebo, a young Babylonian boy, neglected and badly
treated by his evil uncle. Yakov’s family befriend him and try to help but find many obstacles in their way.
Life is not so easy for the Jewish people in Babylon after Nebuchadnezzar dies but events change dramatically when Daniel experiences some life-threatening challenges.
The family wonder if the prophesies of Jeremiah and Ezekiel, that one day they would return to Jerusalem, will ever come true.
What will happen to Nebo?
Will our fictional friends understand that God always does what he has promised?
We have really enjoyed reading The Babylon Trilogy as a family. Gill’s writing style has thoroughly engaged us all and we have become eager to find out what happens to the characters next. The books are particularly helpful to compare the fictional storyline with the factual Bible accounts of that time.
Jenny Hudd, Primary School Teacher and Mum This is an exciting story with good characters. It gives interesting historical information about Babylon. I found it a gripping story and once I started, I couldn’t stop reading.
